2 Chainz found not guilty of marijuana possession
Rapper 2 Chainz has been found not guilty on charges of marijuana possession and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
The Grammy-nominated star – whose real name is Tauheed Epps – was pulled over for speeding on Valentine’s Day and after searching his vehicle, police discovered trace evidence of the drug in a backpack found in the car.
According to the police report, the ‘No Lie’ hitmaker was clocked driving 79mph (127 kph) in a 55mph (89 kph) zone.
“Upon approaching the van, an odor of marijuana was smelled coming from the vehicle,” a spokesman for the Maryland State Police told E! News in February.
“A probable cause search was executed and a backpack was found with a grinder and trace evidence of marijuana.”
But today, 2 Chainz was found not guilty of both charges and subsequently took to Twitter to celebrate!
“Boxing gloves I beat the trial,” he wrote.
