Aaron Carter Opens Up About His Stint In Rehab & Thinking He 'Would Die By 30'
It's safe to say that Aaron Carter has certainly been dealing with some demons in his lifetime.
Having just turned 30 the former child sensation reflected on his past in an interview with Us Weekly. He mused that he didn't think he'd actually live to see the day he hit this milestone birthday.
“I thought I would die by 30,” he said. “Even when I was 13, 14, I thought, ‘Oh, my God. I’m going to die.’”
The sad admission came after a grueling personal year with the shock death of his father, his split from girlfriend Madison Parker, his arrest for DUI and possession of marijuana and he came out as bisexual after years of grappling with his feelings.
It was after all these incidents he decided to check into rehab because he "needed to get away.”
“I dealt with a lot of trauma, a lot of loss, a lot of loneliness," he said.
However since returning from the rehab centre he turned 30 on December 7 and is looking forward to refocusing his attention on music and healing.
“It’s time to act like a frickin’ adult. I have new aspirations. All of those require my attention for music, and I’m telling you, I love in the studio. It’s the safest place for my and very therapeutic.”

And he's done just that, with a brand new single “Don’t Say Goodbye” hitting the airwaves.
