AC/DC’s front man Brian Johnson has hinted in the past that the band’s new album could be coming as soon as next year – but the Aussie rockers have revealed they may need some more time!
Guitarist Malcolm Young told Classic Rock Magazine.
“You know what Brian’s like. He just says things and then walks away. It’ll be a little while – a year or two anyway. I’ve been doing some jamming on some song ideas but I do that all the time, as do the rest of the band.”
In fact, he insisted that they were still recovering from their last albums.
“We had a long rest between ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ and ‘Black Ice’, so I think a couple of years to recuperate and work on it a bit more,” he added.
Meanwhile, Malcolm’s brother and fellow band mate Angus Young has been selected by Australian Guitar Magazine as the greatest guitar player in Australian music history.
He was up against Tommy Emmanuel and Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss, who came second and third.
Hopefully the boys don’t leave it too long for us to hear him living up to his legacy on some new tracks.
