Alicia Keys, Fall Out Boy and more to play NBA All-Star Weekend!
The Super Bowl isn’t the only sporting event that involves an epic halftime show, with Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys, Ellie Goulding and John Legend all getting set to take centre court for the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend next week!
The event takes place over the course of two days, starting on February 16 with Fall Out Boy set to perform their first live TV gig since announcing their new album this week. According to MTV News, the band will be performing their latest single ‘My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).’
“Playing the @NBAAllStar game during the Slam Dunk Contest, gonna #lightemup,” tweeted the boys earlier today.
Ellie Goulding will also take the stage that same day while Mariah Carey’s hubby Nick Cannon will be hosting the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which, along with the performances, includes a skills challenge, three-point contest and slam-dunk contest.
When the Western Conference All-Stars and the Eastern Conference All-Stars face off on Sunday for the NBA All-Star Game, John Legend will be performing the American national anthem, while Ne-Yo will be on hand to perform some of his hits during the player introductions.
Alicia Keys is set to take the stage for the halftime show, performing a medley of both old and new material.
