Kasabian Jam With Alicia Keys
Well, apart from chart topping singles, not a whole lot. But that’s going to change soon enough when the unlikely pair team up for a collaboration!
It’s reported that Kasabian will perform with Alicia at The Black Ball Event in London for the Keep A Child Alive organization in May.
Ms Keys, whose new album ‘The Element Of Freedom’ is trailblazing in charts right now, is also the co-founder of Keep A Child Alive, and is pulling the event together to support those who have been affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa and India.
Meanwhile, working with the ‘Superwoman’ chart topper is a dream come true for the English quartet, who stated back in 2007 they would love to work for the talented singer.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno said, "If I could write for any artist, it would be Alicia Keys.
"I think she could be the next Aretha Franklin…”
And if the creative juices flow in the right direction, there may just be potential to kick off some American chart success for Kasabian, a territory they’re yet to crack.
The British hitmakers, who have just started laying down tracks for their fourth album with super producer Dan The Automater (who was behind their recent number one ‘West Ryder Lunatic pauper Asylum’) are no doubt hoping the uber-sexy singer will lend her dulcet tones to their long awaited offering!
Over the next few months we’re due to see a whole lot more of Alicia. Her long-awaited release with Beyoncè ‘Put It In a Love Song’, is due to hit the charts in a couple of months, she’s tackling the issue of interracial dating in her new track with rapper Drake AND she’s also re-mashing Blondie’s ‘Rapture’ with ‘Sex And The City’s theme song in time for the cinematic release!
We’ll keep you posted…
