Kate Peck’s ‘2013 ARIA Awards’ red carpet picks!
As with most music awards shows, there are no rules when it comes to red carpet fashion and the ‘2013 ARIA Awards’ was no exception. Our very own VJ Kate Peck was on the scene chatting to the biggest stars in both Aussie and international music, and since she was as up close and personal as you can get, she thought she’d share with us some of her biggest winners (and losers) in the style department.
OBVIOUSLY the woman is going to nail it, she’d look good in a gravy stained tea-towel. Buttercup babe alert, this is a great colour on her, but I say ditch the necklace – it’s overkill.
Jules and Guy Sebastian
These two mega babes are like damn fine wines, they just keep getting better and better with age. Guy gets hotter every event and Jules seems to be able to reinvent her entire look with each appearance. Bravo wonderful people, bravo.
Gosh she's a Polly Pocket Rocket! This Steven Khalil lace sensation was tailor-made for the pint-sized princess, and I’m thinking she could rule a nation of fairies with it. It’s a big tick from moi.
I’m worried someone may have died…
So talented. so chic. The Dion Lee blue suit looked superbly sleek and her awesome cropped hair is my absolute fave. Especially those wee little grown-out sideburns, they drive my inner pixie wild.
Golly gosh he is such a handsome young thang. The black looks nice. Boring, but nice. Spice it up next time Chachi.
This outfit is a horror. Firstly I can’t stand a half skirt, on anyone. It’s an unbalanced, unnecessary piece of fabric that flaps around, often getting lodged between its victim’s legs. Secondly, the vertical hard lines of the skirt don’t work with the ugly paint splodge on the top half. Although, her Best Female ARIA acceptance speech was the highlight of my night, so all is forgiven.
Tom Ballard and Alex Dyson (Triple J)
These dudes take the cake. Best outfit for sure. Next year I’m coming as a giant MTV sign.
