A Complete Breakdown Of Ariana Grande & Victoria Justice’s ‘Feud’
There's been multiple occasions over the past decade where things have gotten seemingly tense between the two starlets, leading fans to believe that they secretly don't like each other.
We decided to break down the evidence to get to the bottom of whether or not the Ari vs Victoria feud is for real, or just something that fans & the media have cooked up because - let's face it -we're all bloodthirsty sickos who like to see celebrities biff on.
See what you reckon for yourself below!
In an interview with a bunch of the other girls from Victorious, Elizabeth Gillies spilled to Popstar! about how her close pal Ariana liked to sing all the time on set.
"She sings everything," Liz laughs in the vid, as Victoria begins to look increasingly annoyed. "And it's a good thing because she has a beautiful voice, but it's awesome. She sings absolutely everything, she never stops."
"I think we ALL sing," Victoria chimed in, rolling her eyes.
And because the internet is the internet, the video interview in question got dredged up again about seven years later and went viral, becoming a pretty LOL-worthy meme:

This pretty much forced Victoria to address the Ariana feud rumours head-on.
"I think we ALL have better things 2 do than dredging up 7 yr old non-existent drama," she tweeted. "That said, I'm kind of excited to finally be a meme."

About a month after Victorious wrapped, Ariana apparently hopped on her ask.fm account (LOL remember when that was a thing?!) to address a fan who blamed the show ending on her spin-off show with Jennette McCurdy, Sam & Cat.
"Sweetheart the only reason Victorious ended is because 1 girl didn't want to do it," Ari wrote.
"She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious while Sam & Cat filmed simultaneously but she chose otherwise. I'm sick of this bs."
1 girl??? 1 guess who everybody assumed that one girl was.
And apparently even Victoria assumed Ari was taking a shot at her, because she then went ahead and posted this on Twitter:
In an interview with Seventeen magazine, Ariana discussed some tension with an unnamed former costar...
"I worked with someone who told me they’d never like me," she told the glossy. "But for some reason, I just felt like I needed her approval. So I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy."
Victoria appeared on The Meredith Vieira Show and addressed rumours that the previous quote had been about her.
"I would love to set the record straight because I feel like these rumors have been going on for way too long," she said.
"So, basically there was an article in Seventeen magazine where [Ariana] had said that she was bullied on set and the magazine basically alluded to it being me. So, once the article came out—actually before it came out—she texted me privately and was like, 'Oh my gosh. I am so sorry, you know how the media twists words. I was not talking about you, obviously. I was talking about someone on Broadway that I had worked with'."
That same year, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Victoria admitted (in the most diplomatic way possible tbh) that she didn't think she'd work with Ariana again.
"I think we're kind of both on our own separate paths right now," she said. "I've been more focused on acting and she's doing her singing thing and doing awesome."
Ari dropped her instantly iconic video for 'Thank U, Next', which doubled as a Victorious reunion, featuring cameos from Ari's former Nick co-stars Matt Bennett, Liz Gilles, AND Daniella Monet. But there was one glaring absentee from the cast. Any guesses who?
The feud rumours have now been reignited once again thanks to noneother than... Coachella.
Victoria was one of the countless celebs who turned out at the California fest over the weekend, but she bailed out early before Ariana's headlining set. And made sure everyone knew about it too:
"Until next time Coachella," Vic wrote on Insta. "Sorry I have to leave early, but I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again soon."
Later, probably in response to all the comments about how she'd dogged Ariana's set, Victoria uploaded a Snapchat story saying: "There were so many artists I wanted to see, and, of course, I wanted to see Ariana tonight, but I know she's going to have an amazing show and she's going to kill it."
