Ariana Grande Just Absolutely Smashed A Spotify World Record
In addition to being the strongest person to ever exist on Planet Earth, Ariana Grandemay also be able to predict the future.
She declares her new single ‘thank u, next’ a “smash” in the actual song and it has went on to top just about every chart and break a couple records in the few days it has been out.
The song debuted at Number 1 in the UK and Ireland yesterday after being released early on Sunday morning, and has broken the record for most streamed song by a female artist five days in a row.
#ThankUNext by #ArianaGrande has now broken its own record 5 TIMES IN A ROW!! It's now the most streamed female song in 1 day... with a total of 9.6 MILLION plays (previously it held the 24 hour record with 9.1M). Congrats @ArianaGrande! pic.twitter.com/o6kuLYEjr3

Yep, Ari broke Taylor Swift’s record for most Spotify streams in a single day when the song dropped and has went on to break her *own* record every day since because people just cannot get enough.
Breaking records while setting records straight, huh? Miss Grande did that! And the song is dominating iTunes charts around the world, making it her most immediately successful song to date.
With almost 50 million streams in its first week of release, 'thank u, next' also has the third highest streaming debuts of 2018, only behind Drake's massive 'God's Plan' and 'Nonstop'. Do it for the women, queen!
Could 'thank u, next' become Ariana's biggest song ever? We reckon it could, and with a new album on its way (also titled thank u, next) she is bound to be unstoppable heading into 2019.
The 'Breathin' singer revealed she was in the studio 'finishing' the new album last night (Nov 9) and has previously said it could arrive before the end of the year.
We are absolutely in love with the bop and it seems the rest of the world is too, and we're so proud of the pop superstar for owning everything that's come her way this year with a gorgeous self-love anthem.
