Here's The Reason Ariana Grande Continued Touring After The Manchester Bombing
In a new interview with The Coveteur, Ariana opened up about why she thought it was important to continue her tour after the Manchester bombing.
We will never forget the horrific events that took place May 22, 2017 in Manchester, England. 22 angels lost their lives in a terror attack at Ariana Grande's Dagerous Woman Tour concert.
Understandably, Ariana and her team called off the remaining tour dates after the deadly bombing.
The One Love Manchester benefit concert was the first return to the stage for Ari, joined by her celebrity friends to honour and raise money for the victims.
But Ari told The Coveteur why she decided to go on with final leg of the tour saying, "I don’t think I’ve been through anything as traumatic as [what] we’ve been through. So . . . [the tour] can be a lot."
Ariana received a lot of criticism when she announced her tour would go ahead initially sparking rumours that this was a career move for Ari. Unthinkable.
She went on to tell the mag about her own mental health following the traumatic events.
“I think the most important thing is to have each other’s backs. When you see something or hear something that’s upsetting, or someone says something that’s upsetting, even if it’s not to you, just say something and be there and support each other," she said.
Ariana admited she had thoughts about cancelling the remainder of the tour for good.
"Calling it off and going home was not an option. The message of the show was too important. For the crew and everyone involved, it’s become more than just a show for us. We are really grateful to be here and really grateful for this show."
Now an honorary citizen of Manchester, Ariana visited her fans in the hospital, raised $2.6 million for the victims and their families, and rallied together with her fans to continue the tour in honour of everyone involved, every Arianator.
