'Avengers: Endgame' Has Smashed ANOTHER Major Record At The Box Office
After being in the cinemas globally for just 12 days, Marvel's Avengers: Endgame is now officially the second highest-grossing film of all time at an estimated $2.188 billion.
Marvel's final installement of the popular 'Avengers' series has absolutely smashed box office records this weekend as it became the fastest movie to reach the $2 billion threshold, surpassing the record previously held by 'Titanic' at $2.187.
Endgame is now sitting amongst the company of 4 other films to have hit over $2 billion the box office which includes the highest-grossing film of all time 'Avatar' at $2.78 billion, Star Wars: The Forces Awakens sitting in at $2.06 billion and the film's predecessor 'Avengers: Infinity War' coming at $2.04 billion.
After the immense buzz the film generated in its opening weekend, the film dropped 55 percent on the following week although that still remains to be the strongest of the Marvel movies Avengers: Infinity War at 61 percent and Captain America: Civil War 59 percent.
Directed by the Russo brothers Joe and Anthony, the film picks up from its predecessor 'Avengers: Infinity War', after mega villian Thanos erased 50% of the earth's population and it's up to Iron Man and his crew to restore humanity and order to the world.
The film features the likes of Scarlett Johannson, Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr and our very own Chris Hemsworth.
If you haven't seen it yet, then get along and give it a watch. It sounds like they could use the support. HAHA.
