This Inspiring Teenager Will Help You Embrace Your Acne Once & For All
Unbless you've been blessed with baby smooth skin since you were, well, a baby, then it's likely you've suffered from dreaded acne at some point in life.
Along with getting hair in weird places and constantly smelling like B.O, shitty skin is part of growing up. It don't matter if it's one errant pimple or painful cyst-like blisters, it can all be pretty traumatic and affect your life negatively.
But there's one American teen named Hailey Wait, who is embracing her cystic acne and encouraging her 124K followers to do the same.
hey can we all agree to just stop sending me acne advice? I know the intent is good a lot of times but if I didn’t ask, then I don’t need it. It’s just kind of insulting tbh. There’s more to me than my acne. I get thousands of messages a DAY about my acne, and I’m certain that most of you aren’t dermatologists. It’s not as simple as washing your face and drinking water. Thank you :-)
The 17-year-old musician, artist and self-proclaimed "professional pizza face" has gone viral with her refreshingly honest posts that deal with her skin struggles.
This isn’t for attention. This isn’t to gain sympathy. This isn’t me being fake, in fact this is far from that. My transparency with you guys extends beyond just appearances, in fact I’m incredibly distraught and I see no reason to hide it. You don’t need to comment saying “But you’re still pretty though.” BEAUTY ISN’T EVERYTHING. I have a personality. I have emotions, just like everyone else on this planet. Im not “too pretty to cry”. My problems are valid. Your problems are valid. We all scroll through Instagram and see nothing but sunshine and rainbows and we bury our thoughts inside ourselves and give them unmarked graves. This post is a mess, just like my emotions right now, but my hope with this is maybe to help you guys realize that YOU ARE VALID. it’s okay to cry. It’s okay to FEEL. Don’t hide it in fear that you won’t be “pretty” or whatever the hell because we are ALL beautiful and it has nothing to do with the way you look. Take. Your. Emotions. Seriously. The sad thing is I’m probably gonna get hate for posting this because I’m a “big account” or whatever but I’m being real with you guys.
Not only does she look absolutely beautiful in her own right but she holds an important candle to the notion that striving for so-called 'perfection' shouldn't be what motivates us.
We're such a big fan of this girl and tbh 2018 needs more woke teens like her.
