Big Day Out 2008 Blowout!
Big Day Out 2008 is living up to its name. The line-up promises to be bigger than big, with organizers confirming a world-class party, crossing genres as well as oceans in the quest to bring a tsunami of rhythm to rock our shores.
You want rock? Got it. Hip Hop? Absolutely. Electro-folk-reggae-indie-punk-blues-emo-metal-math-music? Loud and plentiful. Hold your ears, and get ready to party to a megalith of rhythms and tunes, cos these acts will blow your bodies.
Aussie acts to play at the festival include Grinspoon, the Hilltop Hoods, Paul Kelly, Faker, Midnight Juggernauts, Sarah Blasko and Something With Numbers; while the international line up includes Kiwi act Cut Off Your Hands; US musos Rage Against the Machine, Battles and LCD Sound System; Brits Dizzee Rascal and Billy Bragg; and Canadian Arcade Fire.
And of course, no show is complete without your legendary Icelandic songstress Bjork headlining the action.
Tickets for Big Day Out 2008, which will be held in Sydney, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth throughout the end of January, can be purchased through the Big Day Out website from next Wednesday (Sydney), Thursday (Gold Coast) and Friday (Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth).
