BlacKkKlansman Receives A Ten-Minute Standing Ovation At Cannes Film Festival
Upcoming film BlacKkKlansman has just debuted at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and earned a suprising reaction from crowds.
The audience broke out into a very rare four minute applause, followed by a six minute standing ovation.
The film stars John David Washington, Adam Driver and Topher Grace and follows the story of a 1979 undercover African-American detective, and his infiltration into the Klu Klux Klan.
BLACKKKLANSMAN is electric, and its final moments are inspiring, painful and invigorating in that order. It is also, frequently, fucking hilarious, in a way that hurts. #Cannes2018

Focus Features also released the trailer on Monday, which features Washinton and Driver's characters teaming up to take down the KKK.
