Folk Rock duo James Draper and Jordan Brady, collectively known as Winterbourne, started to make music together during high school when they bonded over a common love of The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, ACDC, Stephonics, Crosby, Stills & Nash - just to name a few.
Post high school, the pair adopted a disciplined weekend routine; waking up at 4am and driving to Sydney, then waiting nine hours to busk the main spot in Pitt Street Mall. The same would happen in Melbourne. Consistently wowing audiences with their strong vocal melodies and harmonies, energetic performances and unique chemistry on stage, the boys began to acquire a strong following on the streets and eventually caught the attention of the industry. This is when Winterbourne’s current journey began.
Over the past 12 months, Winterbourne have signed with Island Records Australia, released their debut EP All But The Sun which sold thousands of copies after making it to No.9 on the iTunes Album Charts and have been on the road persistently supporting Patrick James and Little May nationally. They also played their first headline national tour, which saw the duo selling out seven of the fifteen dates, and performed at several different festivals across the country - Surry Hills Festival, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Hurley Australian Open of Surfing, The Australia Day Rocks, Mountain Sounds and Nannup Festival.
