Britney Spears' Manager Says She May Never Perform Ever Again
The future of Britney Spears' on-stage career is unknown...
According to TMZ, Britney isn't in the "mental or physical" shape to continue rehearsals for a series of Vegas shows that were scheduled to kick off in February.
Britney's manager Larry Rudolph told TMZ, "As the person who guides her -- based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis -- from what I gathered it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again."
Rudolph also told TMZ that they had to pull Brit's Vegas show because "her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad's illness."
"I don't want her to work again 'til she's ready, physically, mentally and passionately. If that time never comes again it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I'm here to tell her if it's a good idea or a bad idea," he added.
ICYMI, Britney checked into a mental health facility last month after reports stated she was "distraught" over her dad's ill health. Despite taking to Instagram to tell her fans "all is well," the #FreeBritney hashtag has gone viral on social media with fans believing Britney is being held against her will.
I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me. Don’t believe everything you read and hear. These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago... I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address. My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment 🌸🌸🌸 You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you ❤️❤️❤️
Last week, Britney appeared in court to discuss her conservatorship (which for the last 11 years has belonged to her father) where the judge ordered an investigation of everyone involved in the case.
Our hearts go out to Britney during this extremely difficult time.
