Britney Spears to “take a break” from music after ‘Britney Jean’ drops
She’s getting set to release her eighth studio album, but Britney Spears has revealed that once the record drops she’ll be taking a break from music for a while.
Dropping by Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show in the UK yesterday, the ‘Work B*tch’ singer explained that she’s keen to have some down time from making music.
When Grimmers asked the 31-year-old if she ever expected to have eight albums under her belt, Spears replied in a mock-British accent: “No I never did, I never thought that. Never in my wildest dreams.”
Harry Styles’ BFF further pressed the starlet on how many albums she expected to make throughout her career, which is when she dropped the bomb that we might not get another Britney fix for a while following the release of ‘Britney Jean.’
“Oh I don’t know. I’ll take a break after this one for a while,” she admitted.
Speaking of the record, Brits dished: “It's really nerve-wrecking. You spend so much time working on this album and I'm really dedicated to it. It's like my baby coming to life.”
But it sounds like the mother of two has nothing to worry about, as her producer will.i.am recently revealed that he believes the pop princess’ new LP is “one of her best.”
“This record, in my opinion, is going to be one of her best records,” insisted the Black Eyed Peas frontman.
“There's a lot of personal, sultry songs as well as grit and edge and oomph.”
Britney is set to kick off her two-year performance residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas this December and ‘Britney Jean’ is due for release on December 3.
