Chris Brown Dominates BET!
It must feel good to be Chris Brown right about now – because for once, it’s his music and not his Twitter feuds or anger management issues dominating headlines!
According to E!Online, Breezy dominated the BET Awards last night, scooping three awards including best Hip Hop Video for his recent hit ‘Look At Me Now’.
Although the hip hop star wasn’t in attendance, his collaborator Busta Rhymes took to the stage to collect his awards on behalf of the ‘F.A.M.E’ singer. Chris later tweeted his thanks, “Thank you BET but most of all TeamBreezy".
The other big winner of the night was Lil Wayne – who was also notably absent. He took home the hardware for the ‘Best Live Performer’ and ‘Lyricist Of The Year’ categories.
Hosted by comedian Mike Epps, the show opened with a jaw dropping performance from the recently released T.I. Also hyping the crowd with their freestyles were Wiz Khalifa, Heavy D and Tyrese, Rick Ross and Big Sean. Rap veteran DMX, who has also just been released from the Big House, wowed the crowd with a passionate performance with some assistance from Swizz Beatz.
