Is Chris Brown retiring from music?
Chris Brown’s latest Twitter rant has left fans wondering if he’s set to retire from music altogether, after he threatened yesterday that ‘X’ could very well be his last album.
While the alleged tweets have since been deleted, several outlets including E! News have posted Brown’s words online.
“Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album,” the first tweet reportedly read.
“Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent,” he later continued. “I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I’m cool & over it!”
The R&B star’s comments come just a day after he turned himself in to jail in connection with his hit-and-run case – slipping out discretely less than an hour later, according to MTV News.
Online records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reportedly state that the star arrived at the Van Nuys jail at 2.40pm on Monday afternoon and was booked two minutes later before being released at 3.22pm with no bail.
Brown had previously adamantly denied the charges against him, which included hit-and-run (leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging proper information) and driving without a valid license. The ‘Run It’ singer was facing up to six months in jail for each offense.
Last month, a judge revoked Breezy’s probation from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in connection with the hit-and-run case. MTV News reports that the star is now free pending an August 19 hearing in the probation matter, but is facing up to four years in jail if he is found in violation.
