EXCLUSIVE: Here's What Matthew Daddario Thinks About Being Compared To His "Twin" Noah Centineo

...

How often do you see celebrity doppelgängers working in the same profession? Like never? Yeah we thought so too.

This is the case for Shadowhunters star and all-round nice guy Matthew Daddario who plays Alec Lightwood on the hit show. The 30-year-old is currently in Australia for Oz Comic-Con with his Shadowhunters co-star Dominic Sherwood and we caught up with him to see what he thinks about his famous lookalike.

The interesting thing about Matthew Daddario' doppelgänger is that it happens to be none other than 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' heartthrob Noah Centineo. Images of the two actors started circulating on Twitter back in August and it didn't take for the stan accounts to realise that they look almost identical.

But what does Matthew think about this? Surely he disagrees right? Like there's just no way he thinks he looks like Noah? WRONG! he STRONGLY agrees!

"Yes, he looks like me! I’ve seen this before, this is on Twitter," Daddario said. "See I have a thing, I’m not really great at remembering faces and sometimes I have a lot of trouble. I’ll look at a face and I don’t really see the resemblance but in this case there’s definitely something there. He’s got the dark hair, he’s tall I think, I don’t know what the other qualities are but if everyone is saying it’s true then it’s got to be true right?"

There you have it! Confirmed by the man himself.

When we asked him what he thinks of the Land Down Under...well it looks like we've converted another one.

"I’ve noticed about Australia is that it seems you Australians are really well adjusted or something, you’re all really nice and very calm bunch and I don’t know if it’s like that all the time," he told us.

After attending the Brisbane leg of the Comic-Con tour this past weekend, Daddario didn't shy away on stressing how important it is for actors, writers, creatives and personalities like himself to attend these conventions that are put on for the fans to meet their heroes and explore the curiosity amongst other fans.

"[I mean] these are the fans of your show, these are the people you’re doing this for and you know, sometimes we should be bending over backwards to help them out and to give them what they want and that’s something I think that is nice, something that we can actually enjoy," Daddario expressed.

Don't miss your chance to meet Matthew at Comic-Con in Sydney this weekend. Get your tickets just here.
