Channel Nine Finally Decided To Dump Pauline Hanson From The 'Today Show'
Channel 9 has axed Pauline Hanson's contributor status on the The Today Show after she went on a racist rant against the Melbourne residents trapped in lockdown inside nine housing commission towers.
On the show yesterday morning, the One Nation leader called those in lockdown in the towers “drug addicts” who “cannot speak English”, reports news.com.au.
Shortly after, a statement from Nine read: “The Today Show has advised Pauline Hanson that she will no longer be appearing on our programme as a regular contributor.”
“We don’t shy away from diverse opinions and robust debate on The Today Show. But this morning’s accusations from Pauline Hanson were ill-informed and divisive. At a time of uncertainty in this national and global health crisis, Australians have to be united and supportive of one another. We need to get through this together.”

Hanson has since hit back at Nine, telling The Australian (who else?): “'We're getting to the point to where you can't give your opinion. What Channel 9 has done is detrimental to freedom of speech."
"Channel 9 is going down the wrong path here. … I've been speaking about people coming here and not learning the English language for years … they don't know what to do."
"I really don't care if I don't go on Channel 9. I have Facebook followers and speak to people in the street and I go on numerous Sky programs. It's no skin off my nose."
On the show, co-host Ally Langdon had remarked that some of the tower residents hadn’t had a proper meal since Saturday, a fact that has been widely reported in the media.
“Ah come on Ally, we’ve seen food being delivered there,” Hanson replied. “The fact is a lot of them are drug addicts as well, they are getting their medication, they are alcoholics so they’re being looked after in that way."
Hanson also commented on premier Dan Andrews’ announcement that no rent would be charged to the towers’ residents, and that the government would be making hardship payments of $1500 to residents unable to go to work and $750 to those without paid work.
“They are actually getting paid extra money,” said the Senator. “Why are they getting paid extra money? For what? They are not leaving the premises.”
Later in the show, she was asked whether she had a heart, to which she replied that she did, but that she also had “common sense”.
“The fact is that we’re sick and tired of people bleeding bloody hearts out there,” she said. “This is a shutdown because the rest of the state [Victoria] has been locked off from the rest of the country.”
The comments come after a long line of controversial and frankly immoral 'hot takes' from Pauline Hanson. Many took to Twitter to say the move to get her off The Today Show should've happened far earlier.
Pauline Hanson is a racist. You knew that before you invited her on your show. And you'll invite her back once you've forgotten what she said today. She isn't the problem anymore, you are. @TheTodayShow

The Today Show was so disturbed by Pauline Hanson's racism they posted her comments TWICE.
Any doubt that the @TheTodayShow is using racism as a ratings booster?

Today Premier Dan Andrews announced the coronavirus situation in Victoria had gotten so bad, he would be shutting the borders with NSW from midnight tomorrow (Tuesday).
"I know it's difficult," he continued. "I know people are sick and tired and fatigued of this global pandemic, the rules, the restrictions, I get that. I understand that. But this is where we're at – there is no vaccine. It's wildly infectious. If people pretend it's over, all they'll be doing is spreading the virus. And then we will finish up with even more rules that will be even less palatable. We have all got to stay the course ... Otherwise, everyone is going to be back in their home in a lockdown."
