Daniel Radcliffe Is Down For Playing Harry Potter Again & We're Fine With It
It’s the question that just won’t go away. Ever since Harry Potter And The Cursed Child hit the London stage, the rumour mill has been buzzing with talk of a potential big-screen adaptation.
And as sure as night follows day, the next question is ALWAYS whether Daniel Radcliffe would be up for another go-around as the famous boy wizard. Or just the “wizard” now, we guess…
The question reared its head again this week during an interview with Good Morning Britain, with Radcliffe revealing he wouldn’t rule out a return to the scar and spectacles. “I'm not sure, that's a long way off,” said the star. “That's all highly theoretical talk. If it was ever to become more than theoretical, I would of course think about it.”
Not that Dan knows quite what he’d be signing up to, given that he’s still not seen the play. “I'm not trying to stay away from the show,” he explained. “I'm trying to stay away from what could potentially be the experience of seeing it. I know other people from the cast have gone to see it.”
“I just feel like if I was sitting in an audience of Harry Potter fans, it would possibly be a slightly different show, and it would possibly be that I would be watching it as much as feeling people watching me watch it. This could all be in my head, but I just envisage it not being relaxing.”
At this stage, we still don’t know whether a Cursed Child movie is even happening, so it’s all a little premature, but if it DID happen… we’re fairly sure Radcliffe would be tempted back. And if not, it’s nothing a quick Imperio charm couldn’t fix…
