When David Guetta revealed he was going to spin his magic on U2’s new album, we were beyond excited, but sadly, it looks like the project has lost momentum!
The international beat-master, who is gearing up to drop his new album ‘Nothing But The Beat’ in August, told Billboard:
"We actually met with Bono and we spoke about it.
"He announced it in some of his interviews so I started to announce it too, because he spoke about it, and then we never spoke again. So it might happen one day - I would love to - but he kind of disappeared."
And as for those rumours that he’d be working with Britney and Madonna? Turns out that’s not happening either…
Instead, the electronica king has been busy collabing with the chart’s hottest talents including Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, all of which will appear on his new double album.
"One is 100 percent vocal and the other one is 100 percent electronic, no vocals."
Talking about his beats with Nicki, he said:
"I am so proud of what she did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing like -- oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don't know her like this," said Guetta. "And we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it."
Describing the sound of the record to Digital Spy, he said: "I don't even know what it is because it's really crazy. It's not hip-hop, it's not dance music, it's just crazy music!"
And we can’t wait!
