Delta Goodrem To Present At Vodafone MTVAAs
MTVs night of nights is inching ever closer – and the announcements haven’t stopped rolling in! With more performers and guest appearances than ever before on the Red Carpet and in show, this year’s Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 will certainly dole out it’s fare share of surprises!
And now comes the news that one of Australia’s most iconic performers Delta Goodrem will return to the stage as a presenter at the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009.
In only six years, Goodrem has secured the title of ‘Australia’s most successful female singer/song-writer’ and has a legion of loyal fans across the globe. Goodrem’s career was elevated to a multi-platinum status when her debut album Innocent Eyes hit the stands in 2003. The album entered the charts in the number one spot and stayed there for a record-breaking 25 weeks. Since then her follow up albums Mistaken Identity (2004) and Delta (2007) have both debuted as number ones.
Also joining Delta is popular recording artist and host of 'Football Superstar' Brian McFadden. McFadden released his gold single ‘Like Only A Woman Can’ as his hit single ‘Twisted’ broadened his sound. The track’s energetic beats were thanks to the ‘midas’ production touch of Australia’s hottest dance music duo, The Potbellez were lifted from his 2nd solo album ‘Set in Stone’ which was released in April last year.
The Irish born singer will join his gorgeous other half Deltra Goodrem, as well as presenters Dannii Minogue, Duffy, Lara Bingle, Rhys Darby and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and performers Kaiser Chiefs, Jessica Mauboy, The Fray, The Killers, Kings Of Leon (via satellite) and Sia. Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz will host the show, while The Hills ‘It Girl’, Audrina Patridge, will host the ‘The Red Carpet At The Vodafone MTV Australia Awards’ along side MTV VJ’s Maz Compton, Darren Mc Mullen and Ruby Rose.

The Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 will broadcast live from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, on MTV Australia, Friday March 27, 7:30pm (AEDT) Red Carpet, 8:30pm (AEDT) main show.
