Demi Lovato's Mum Shares An Update About Her Daughter's Recovery
It's hard to believe, but it has been over 3 months since Demi Lovato's tragic overdose.
But in good news her mother Dianna De La Garza has given an update on her daughter's recovery and it looks like she is on the up and up.
In an interview with Maria Menunos on Sirius XM, she said that Demi has now been 90 days sober since entering rehab at the end of July.
“She has 90 days,” she said. “I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work. It’s very hard. It’s not easy, and there are no shortcuts.”
She also went on to explain the heartbreaking moment she found out about Demi's overdose when she started getting random text messages from people passing on their well wishes.
“Before I could get to TMZ, I got the phone call from her assistant and she said, ‘We’re at the hospital.’ So then I knew, okay, she’s not gone,” she recalled. “She’s here. And I said, ‘What’s going on?’ And the words that I heard are just a nightmare for any parent: ‘Demi overdosed.’ ”
Our thoughts and prayers are still with Demi and her family.
