DMX Jumps on the Wagon
DMX is to ‘star’ in season three of ’Celebrity Rehab’ as part of his 'career ressurection'.
As the name suggests, ‘Celebrity Rehab’ is a reality TV show in which contestants try to go clean and shake their respective addictions. The show has been running for two seasons in the US and past contestants have included Brigitte Nielsen, Daniel Baldwin and Rodney King.
A press release has now confirmed DMX is the latest celebrity to sign on for season three. As you may recall, Dark Man X didn’t have a very productive 2008. Between all the drugs and arrests there wasn’t a whole lot of time to record any music or make movies. By year's end, US judges had finally lost their patience with his reckless behaviour and threw him in the clink for 90s days to think about what he had done. Specifically; a long list of charges including animal cruelty, multiple drug arrests, weapons charges, failing to show up in court and pretending to be someone else to avoid paying a hospital bill.
It must be said that the show's track record is sketchy at best. For every clean and sober celebrity it produces there are two or three still jonesing for their next hit. Hopefully, DMX will successfully get the crack monkey off his back. He'll be joined by Hollywood madam, Heidi Fleiss, and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row). Aaron Carter is also rumoured to be on the wagon.
