This Is What Happened When Ed Sheeran Met Jacinda Ardern
Looks like Ed Sheeran's dream of becoming a New Zealand citizen could soon become a reality.
The Brit pop star is currently in Aotearoa for his 'Divide' tour, but he found some down time to pop round to Jacinda Ardern's house for a cuppa.
The PM was guttered she couldn't attend any of the singer's shows so she invited him round for tea and scones.
"Couldn’t make any of Ed Sheeran’s shows while he is here so cheekily suggested he come round for a cuppa and some scones," she shared via Instagram.
"Didn’t quite expect him to say yes. Thanks @teddysphotos It was a real treat to meet you. And as an added bonus, my scones weren’t a complete disaster!"
Ardern's partner Clarke Gayford also posted a pic of his meeting with Sheeran.
