Ellen Used Finding Dory To Make A Very Important Statement About Donald Trump's Travel Ban
Most American celebrities are fired up right now. They're angry, they're upset and they're worried about their country and the effect Donald Trump is having on it.
Many are marching, some are protesting and plenty are making statements about their disdain for the unpopular president. But few have so adorably summed up the feelings of many quite like Ellen DeGeneres.
On The Ellen Show today she reminded viewers that she doesn't "get political" but she wanted to use her movie Finding Dory as an analogy for the current travel/immigration ban going on right now.
"Dory arrives in America with her friends Marlin and Nemo. She ends up at the Marine Life Institute behind a large wall," she said. "They all have to get over the wall and you won't believe it, but that wall has almost no effect in keeping them out."
"Even though Dory gets into America, she ends up separated from her family, but the other animals help Dory. Animals that don't even need her. Animals that don't have anything in common with her. They help her, even though they're completely different colors. Because that's what you do when you see someone in need—you help them."
Preach sista, preach.
We think the whole world needs to go and re-watch that movie as a gentle reminder of how HUMAN BEINGS SHOULD TREAT OTHER HUMAN BEINGS.
