Plus Size Teen Graces Fitness Magazine Cover
It can be frustrating for people who deem themselves as ‘fit’, but can’t relate to the super slim, cheese-grater-abs-models who are found on most magazine covers.
Thanks to fitness magazine ‘Women’s Running’ the stereotype of what it means to be fit and healthy is starting to show diversity.
Plus size model Erica Jean Schenk is on the August issue cover in an empowering photo showing her curves in an athletic, healthy aspect.
Erica runs, swims and plays volleyball, proving you can be extremely athletic with a sexy curvylicious figure.
The model wasn’t initially meant to be on the cover, but her story inside (on size diversity) impressed the editors so much that she landed the front page.
“Honestly, I was astonished,” she told People. “My family is overwhelmingly proud.”
You go girl!
