- Unofficial Kickstart Finalist Showcase

Anyone that has ever forayed into the world of music endeavors will tell you that you need a considerable amount of motivation to hold a band together. 

You need to write songs, rehearse, co-ordinate outfits, fend off groupies and play gigs; more often than not in shady venues whose star attraction is 15 pot-bellied, farting, belching blokes holding up the bar. 

So here at MTV we're mighty impressed by the can-do attitude of 3 of the Kickstart finalists.  They've done all the above and more; they've gone and organized themselves a Kickstart Finalist Showcase! Doesn't that kind of motivation make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

The show will feature Melbourne twosome, Urban Monk and Camelot the Cameleon, a.k.a. Polo Club, hip hop band Emcee Able from Perth and indie pop rockers Skye Harbour from Adelaide. DJ's Scattermish, Mu-Gen and Gsan will also be performing so grab those friends of yours that enjoy some upbeat new tunes and check them out for one last before we hand over the giant cheque on October 15th!

All the performances from the Kickstart finalists are up on Overdrive (click here ), but if you want to see the sweaty action for yourself then get along and support what are some of the coolest unsigned bands in the country. 

It's going to be one of these nights where you'll kick (horrific pun intended) yourself if you don't go! The Showcase is on the 10th of October at First Floor in 383 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne.
