- MTV VJ Maz Gets The Inside Word On Lady Gaga

Lady GaGa is about as wacky as they come. Dressed in a beige leotard, complete with fishnets, waist fitting belt and a Starship Enterprise inspired mustard coloured jacket, my one on three chat with her and her stay-by-her-side-at-all-times-dancers, was one of the most interesting conversations I have had all year.

GaGa is so damn hot right now and has no plans of being a 'here today gone tomorrow' talent. She explains that there is a major difference between, 'fame' and her album title 'The Fame'. It was all thanks to her DJ, Space Cowboy that helped the penny drop, and she was able to pin-point the difference. 'The Fame' is when no one knows who you are but they are so intrigued they have to know more; which is what happened when GaGa was in London. She hasn't released any material there but was hounded by paps the entire trip.

And just so you know, she is coping with 'the fame' extremely well.  As for penning a track for Britney's new album, rumoured to be titled 'Circus', GaGa - as she is affectionately known kept tight lipped about the track.

Citing Andy Warhol as one of her many inspirations, she is a self confessed control freak. She does more than her hit suggests, 'Just Dance'; this young lady does it all. Her voice was little husky, and not because she partied the night before but because she was up until 4am adding last minute details and changes to her set design.  Lady Gaga is about to go on tour supporting New Kids On The Block, and even though she blushed and was hesitant to admit it, Donnie is her fav of the group. She is an artist through and through and has her finger in many a pie, from choreographing, to designing costumes, to her lighting rig; GaGa is a living testimony that the old fashioned 'work your way up the ladder to get to top' can still lead to mass success.

Coming from a theatrical school much like in the movie 'Fame', GaGa discovered her nuttiness early on, when she and her friends would dress up to the nines to go out clubbing in New York City. It was here she began to find her on stage moniker and develop it. From the seediest night-clubs on the lower east side, to a number one hit all around the world, Ga Ga has most certainly earned her stripes and can be forgiven for being a bit out there - it works for her.

Lady GaGa's debut album 'The Fame' is out now.
