North Byron Parklands Fighting To Become The Permanent Home Of Splendour & Falls
North Byron Parklands is making a bid to secure a 'forever home' for both Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival. But they need your help.
For the past five years, The Parklands have been able to host the beloved Aussie music festivals due to an agreed 'trial period' handed to them by Department of Planning and Environment, however that period ends New Year's Eve this year.
Thankfully, a further 20-months was added, but now they're calling on Splendour and Falls fans to help them make NBP a permanent home, for a number of reasons as listed on the website.
Encouraging people to submit their support for the cause to the NSW DP&E., The Parklands argue that making NBP a permanent home will be a "win-win" for both patrons and the community.
If the bid is successful, they'll be able to "invest in improvements to the site which will enhance the experience", and continue to have a positive impact on local businesses. The Parklands' statement also makes a point to say they have done "an outstanding job" in ensuring there is always minimal impact on the environment and "have worked hard to improve traffic, noise, and community amenity along the way."
