Director Sam Taylor-Johnson has opened about her bad blood with Fifty Shades Of Grey author E.L. James, which caused her to abandon the series after the first film.
“I like everyone and I get really confused when they don’t like me," Taylor-Johnson told Sunday Times Magazine. "I don’t understand when I can’t navigate a person… when there’s no synergy."
The pair could not agree on key creative decisions for Fifty Shades Darker and so James Foley came on board. He will also continue to direct the third film, Fifty Shades Freed.
Taylor-Johnson added, "I have literally zero interest [in the remaning films.] I can never say I regret it because that would just finish me off – would I go through it again? I’d be mad.”
