Fans & Musicians React To Loss Of Frightened Rabbit Lead Singer Scott Hutchison
Overnight, we got confirmation that Scott Hutchison, lead singer of Frightened Rabbit, had died, aged 36.
He went missing earlier this week after his friends and family worried he was struggling and, after a 48 hour search, Scottish police found a body that they confirmed was Hutchison.
The news has really shocked and saddened both Hutchison's inner circle and the music world.
"Depression is a horrendous illness that does not give you any alert or indication as to when it will take hold of you," Hutchison's family said in a statement. "Scott battled bravely with his own issues for many years and we are immensely proud of him for being so open with his struggles. His willingness to discuss these matters in the public domain undoubtedly raised awareness of mental health issues and gave others confidence and belief to discuss their own issues."

So so so sad to see the news about Scott Hutchison. Yet another tragic reminder of how important it is to talk - and be truly listened to. Frightened Rabbit were a soul soaring band. Their music takes me back to being 21 especially. TMOF will always be one of my favourite albums.

I remember the first time I heard the kick in Keep Yourself Warm. My Backwards Walk during a messy break-up. The Oil Slick and believed everything would be okay. Modern Leper and felt understood. Scott Hutchison is the shit and so many of us are knee deep in it.
