Gavin DeGraw Attacked!
US singer Gavin DeGraw
has spoken out about his shock attack in New York City this week.
The ‘I Don’t Wanna Be’
star, who was rushed to hospital after reportedly being beaten-up by a group of unidentified thugs in Manhattan’s East Village, has told fans he barely remembers a thing about the brutal incident – which is still under police investigation.
"Hi my friends,”
he wrote on Twitter. “Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."
According to Reuters, the 34-year-old, who’s fifth album ‘Sweeter’
is due to drop next month, was treated at Bellevue Hospital for “concussion, a broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises.”
His rep told Reuters, "Gavin and his family appreciate everyone's concern at this time.”
Meanwhile, the hitmaker, who’s currently on tour with Maroon 5
has been forced to cancel his upcoming appearances.
"As a result of Gavin's injuries, he won't be performing in Wantagh, NY on August 12 or Mansfield, MA on August 13,"
his rep added to MTV News.
