EXCLUSIVE! ‘Geordie Shore’ star Gaz talks “normal” relationship with Charlotte
Throughout our seven-season journey of ‘Geordie Shore’ we’ve watched and commented on the tumultuous relationship between Gaz and Charlotte as if we were offering advice up to our very best friends.
And with Charlotte heading into the ‘Geordie Shore’ house for this series all loved-up in the outside world, notorious ladies’ man Gaz explained that it’s been hard trying to maintain a friendly relationship with his former lover.
“It’s so hard to go for like two years having a flirty banter kind of relationship with someone, like all touchy-feely and laughing on, to [not being able] to do it,” the Newcastle native told MTV Australia about trying to form a friendship with Charlotte in the last two seasons.
“So it’s gone from having a flirty banter relationship to having a ‘normal’ relationship, which is so much harder. It’s just us getting used to doing that.”
In the real world, the chances of you being confined to a house with a former flame are fairly low, so was it awkward for the pair having to share such close quarters?
“Not it wasn’t,” shared Gaz. “She’s got a boyfriend, I know that.
“We spoke, we didn’t speak, we were happy to get on, have a laugh on nights out. We are getting there. It’s just having two years of flirtiness and then trying to cut out all the flirting and having no relationship, friendship-wise, it’s just hard. But we’re getting there.”
Someone who is finding it a little bit awkward in the house this season is Scotty T, who came under fire from Marnie in this week’s episode for bringing another lass into the house!
Speaking to MTV UK, the blond beefcake revealed that getting with the bird you’re living with is hard, especially when she’s as “argumentative” as Marnie.
“When I was pulling other people she was getting a**ey … it’s so awkward when you live with the person you’re getting with,” he explained, adding that things were a lot easier when he was hooking-up with Holly.
But poor Holly spilled that she’s finding the whole Scotty / Marnie situation just a bit uncomfortable to watch, sharing: “It’s not nice to watch someone just swan in and take my play toy away.
“It’s f**king plain downright dis-re-f**king-spectful!”
‘Geordie Shore’ season 7 airs Wednesdays at 7am AU / 9am NZ with a repeat at 8.30pm – only on MTV!
