The ‘Gilmore Girls’ Cast Are Crushing Our Hopes & Dreams By Revealing That They’re Uncertain About Another Revival Season
The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life revival episodes just dropped on Netflix on Friday night, however fans of the hit show are adamant that they want more of a Gilmore Girls fix, particularly given that the final episode ended on a majahhhhh cliff-hanger.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the cast of the hit show gave their two cents about whether they would want to continue with the series, and be prepared because their answers may crush all your hopes and dreams.
“It all depends on the story. And I don’t know, I feel so grateful to get to do [Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life] that I’m not even looking forward necessarily at the prospect of doing more,” Alexis Bledel (AKA Rory Gilmore) told Entertainment Tonight’s reporters.
“I also feel like it’s such a special story that I don’t want to exploit it, or do too much, you know?”
We may or may not be shedding a couple of tears due to her response.
The show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino also expressed her reservations about continuing with the show.
“We really had a very specific journey in our minds and we fulfilled the journey. So to us, this is the piece that we wanted to do. And the whole thought about, is there more, is there more, is there more…we’ve got to put this to bed,” Amy told The Hollywood Reporter.
“And then whatever happens, happens.”
However, Scott Patterson who plays Luke on the show, explained to THR that he’s keen to do another few episodes.
“It’d be nice to do it every year. Maybe every two years, do a three-month thing, do four more chapters. It was really rewarding and people got a sense that if this was going to be the last thing, that we now have some closure,” he said.
We’re gonna keep hoping and praying for more episodes!
