Lena Dunham Says A 'Girls' Movie Will Happen
We may not have seen the last of our fave Girls.
After six seasons, the HBO show that launched a thousand think-pieces has come to an end, with the series finale set to air on Aussie & NZ TV screens (on Showcase & SoHo respectively) this Wednesday at 8.30pm.
But Lena Dunham, the star of (and genius brain behind) the show, has confirmed that we could very likely end up seeing Hannah, Shosh, Jessa and Marnie on the big screen.
"Oh, we're doing the movie," Dunham tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I'd just want to leave enough space so that we are finding them in a super different place than we left them."
So while it may break your heart to see the show that delivered such painfully relateable wisdom nuggets as "it's really liberating to say 'no' to sh*t you hate" and "there are certain people who are meant to remain in your past" come to an end, it may not actually be the end after all.
