Feud: Ditto vs. Perry!
It’s been a good week for celeb feuds: first there was Pink vs. Kanye, then there was Pink vs. Britney and now it’s the turn of the Gossip’s Beth Ditto and Cherry Chapstick-slathering Katy Perry.
Turns out, lesbian Beth is still bitter over KP’s breakout hit 'I Kissed A Girl' (not a bit 2008, Beth?).
In round one, the feisty 'Standing In The Way Of Control' croonette lashes out: “'I Kissed A Girl' is a boner dyke anthem for straight girls who like to turn guys on by making out or, like, faking gay.
“She's just riding on the backs of our culture, without having to pay any of the dues and not being actually lesbian or anything at all."
Over to Katy Perry in round two, who takes a different stance, AKA the excruciatingly irritatingly tactful yet self-righteous one.
The 'Hot & Cold' gal replied: "I don’t want to get into a slanging war with anybody so I don’t want to say anything bad about her. But I'm not impressed. I've learned in the past year that one artist should never insult another artist's music — it’s tacky."
Ouch. Can’t wait for round 3.
In between sharpening her claws and coming up with a killer retort, meanwhile, Beth has got herself a new mission, namely saving 'Britain’s Got Talent’s' runner-up Susan Boyle.
Beth told the UK’s The Sun newspaper: "I'm reaching out to Susan. She should hook up with me and The Priests (FYI: a multi-selling trio of singing holy men). We would be the world's first gospel supergroup.
"I think it's horrible people have been making fun of her. Susan just wants to love Jesus and sing – it's cute. Only I can help her out of her meltdown"
