She took to social media yesterday (May 29) to share a video to her combined 24 million Instagram and Twitter followers, speaking out about the constitutional right to abortion.
“Let's be clear: abortion is a right, abortion is legal, abortion is YOUR decision stand with me, the @aclu, and the abortion providers fighting on the front lines. none of us can be silent. #stopthebans,” the 24-year-old wrote.
let's be clear:

Her call to action joins the voices of celebrities Kristen Wiig, Sophie Turner, Emma Watson among many more who have vocalised their pro-choice stance as Republican-run states move to ban the procedure.
The popstar is a social movement advocate with a strong history with speaking for women's rights.
In 2018, Halsey delivered an emotional poem about her experiences with sexual abuse at the New York Women's March.
The poem included details of sexual assault as a child and accompaning a friend to Planned Parenthood after she was raped.

The endometriosis-sufferer has also spoken publically in the past about having a miscarriage on stage.
She told the Telegraph in a frank interview, "I was on tour and I found out I was pregnant. Before I could really figure out what that meant to me and what that meant for my future... the next thing I knew I was on stage miscarrying in the middle of my concert."
Halsey is vocal about the impact edometriosis has had on her life, having surgery back in 2017.
In appealing for her followers to fight the abortion ban, Halsey reminded fans that "abortion is still legal in all 50 states" and that clinics are "still open and caring for patients".
Let's hope their voices are heard and there will be an end to this truly terrifying situation.
