BREAKING: Chris Dawson From 'Teacher's Pet' Podcast Has Been Arrested For Murder
It's the breakthrough many of us have been anticipating.
According to The Australian, Chris Dawson, the former husband of missing Northern Beaches woman Lynette Dawson, has been arrested this morning and is expected to be charged with her murder.
"A 70-year-old man has been arrested this morning shortly before 8 o'clock in relation to the murer of Lyn Dawson," Detective Chief Inspector Chris Olen told the paper. "He's been taken to Southport where he will be charged. NSW police will seek an extradition."

The story of Lyn's sudden disappearance 37 years ago was chronicled in the award-winning podcast The Teacher's Pet, which has had over 11.6 million downloads and has seen a huge media and public interest in the case.
Here's a quick rundown of events, if you didn't listen to The Teacher's Pet. In 1981 and at 33 years old, mum-of-two Lyn disappeared from Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Just days after her disappearance, Lyn's husband, Chris Dawson, who was a former Newtown Jets rugby league player and PE teacher, moved his schoolgirl lover, Joanne Curtis, into their family home.
Chris told Lyn's family that she needed time away and didn't report her missing to police for almost six weeks, continuing to deny having anything to do with his wife's disappearance. In a statement to police, Chris said there was a possibility she had left to join a religious organisation.
In September this year, following the release of the widely popular Teacher's Pet podcast, police searched Chris and Lyn's former home but failed to discover any remains or significant clues.
This week, after further investigation, detectives applied for an arrest warrant and just before 8am this morning, Chris was arrested by detectives from the Queensland homicide squad.
We're seriously hoping this provides some sort of closure for Lyn's family and friends.
