Sydney Set To Scrap Lockout Laws But There's One Major Problem
Yesterday it was announced that the NSW State Government will be scrapping the Sydney CBD lockout laws. Yipee.
Buuuuut before you get too excited, Gladys Berejiklian has ensured that her big news, has some unsavoury caveats.

The NSW premiere said in a statement on Sunday, she plans to lift the CBD 1:30am lockout legislation however there will still be restrictions on Kings Cross and parts of Oxford Street.
So while people are celebrating the historic step forward in regaining some of the magic Sydney's nightlife used to offer locals and tourists alike - there are still plenty of unanswered questions.
“There are still many details that are unclear. Why is Kings Cross left out? What about Oxford Street? When are closing times? Either way, we will all need to pitch in to rebuild our city’s night-life, live music scene and local culture from this point on," so said the Keep Sydney Open party in a Facebook post.
This certainly isn't a perfect outcome, but it does feel like after years of protesting, things are moving in the right direction.
We will bring you updates as this announcement becomes legislation.
Viva la Sydney!
