Twitter Is Inconsolable Over Footage Of This Mother Whale With Her Dead Baby Calf
*Keep a box of tissues next to you because it’s going to get emotional*
This week’s episode of Blue Planet II on the BBC saw the saddest story of a dead baby whale being carried by it’s mother. The pod of whales were effected by toxic plastic in the ocean poisoning many animals.
Documentarian legend, Sir David Attenborough laid down the cold hard facts about ocean pollution saying we “dump eight million tonnes of plastic into the sea [every year]” and it "entangles and drowns a vast number of creatures".
If you haven’t seen it here it is:

Attenborough then went into more detail about the whales saying, ”This mother has been carrying her newborn around, but it's dead…She's reluctant to let it go, it's been dead for many days."
This is so not ok and people are expressing how upset they are on Twitter:

The amount I’m crying over the baby whale dying in #BluePlanet2 because he ate plastic, I’d make a new ocean with them for the whales and ban humans 😭😭😭😭😭😭
