There Are Whispers That Jake Gyllenhaal Is Replacing Ben Affleck As Batman & We're So On Board For That
There’s no denying that Ben Affleck has had his fare share of criticism over his portrayal of Batman ever since he took over the role of the caped crusader of Gotham back in 2016.
With Batman fans seemingly apprehensive about the casting of Ben as their favourite superhero, it seems that there are ~whispers~ in Hollywood that Ben may be replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal.
According to renowned film critic and podcaster John Campea, The Batman director Matt Reeves may be on the hunt to replace Battfleck, and revealed that Jake is at the top of his list.
“This thing about Ben Affleck leaving [Batman], this was decided at the beginning of the year,” Campea said in a recent YouTube video.
“I had this one friend of mine who is an influential in Hollywood tell me who it was…so who’s the name? Jake Gyllenhaal.”
Whilst it is probably best to take this rumour with a grain of salt, it seems that Ben has been hesitant to reveal whether he’ll remain as the DC superhero for years to come, telling Extra that he’ll “see what the future holds.”
Way to be coy, Affleck.
However, if the rumours are true, we’re pretty sure that Jake Gyllenhaal may be the most babin’ Batman to date.
