The Internet Roasts Jake Paul After He Tweets 'Advice' About Anxiety
Cancel your next appointment with your psychologist: Jake Paul has the secret to curing your anxiety, and it involves 'chilling your mind out' and taking walks. How simple! How easy! If only we’d known!
(Obviously, we are joking, no one actually cancel their psych appointments please.)
Jake Paul’s tweet instructing people how to cure their anxiety has gone viral:
“remember anxiety is created by you. sometimes you gotta let life play out and remind yourself to be happy & that the answers will come” pic.twitter.com/yQsDDcnlCg

Congrats, Jake Paul, you’ve managed to offend a good portion of the internet and downplay a serious mental condition by essentially telling people they just need to “get over it”. People on Twitter were quick to let Jake Paul know that actually, that's not at all how anxiety (a serious mental illness) works.
me: oh no why is jake paul trending on twitter what insensitive shit did he do now

According to Beyond Blue, one in four Australians will experience anxiety at some stage in their life and over 2 million Aussies experience anxiety in a 12-month period.
It’s easy to dismiss this stuff as mere nonsense from another problematic influencer, but when someone as prominent as Jake Paul, with a following of 3.6 million, spruiks health advice, that stuff has reach. His words could seriously affect how someone who is struggling with anxiety sees themselves and it could even influence their decision around seeking treatment or not.
Jake Paul should know better and he should do better, but given his track record, we're not sure he will.
