James Blunt’s Aussie Tour
James Blunt is back with a brand new album – and an epic Aussie tour to go with it!
The Brit superstar, who’s debut album ‘Back to Bedlam’ went platinum eight times in Oz, has announced he’s returning to our shores in May.
The ‘You’re Beautiful’ singer, who’s currently Down Under to promote his new record ‘Some Kind Of Trouble,’ will perform a series of shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.
Talking about what fans can expect from his comeback material, the 36-year-old told the Sydney Morning Herald,
''I used to write in a troubadour style on the acoustic guitar, writing these miserable songs. For this album, I wrote on an electric guitar and wrote upbeat, energetic songs.
''This album harks back not to the music of the 1980s but maybe the optimism of the 1980s. As a generation, there was a sense we could achieve anything if we worked together. You know, before the cynicism of the 1990s. That's what the album is, optimistic and upbeat.''
And with bigger tunes, comes a bigger band of course!
He added, “The songs are more complicated than the last, so they need it.
''People are surprised by the energy of my concerts. They are more energetic than my albums would indicate.''
