Jamie Foxx Hosts MJ Tribute
Janet Jackson and her brothers may be boycotting Michael’s tribute concert, but that hasn’t stopped a whole swag of superstars from signing up to be part of it!
According to CBSnews.com, Jamie Foxx, who presented a homage to The King Of Pop at the 2009 BET Awards, will be hosting the ‘Michael Forever — The Tribute Concert’, which is due to take place in Wales during October.
Also performing some of Michael’s best loved hits will be Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis and Cee Lo Green, while his mother Katherine will be in attendance.
Even though the event is not officially associated with MJ’s estate, Katherine has thrown her full support behind it. According to the Winnipeg Press she said: "It is with great gratitude for me to give my complete blessing and full support to what I consider to be the one and only Official Michael Jackson Tribute Concert.
"I will be there along with as many members of my family that are available. I am positive that this event will be an event great enough in scale, talent and imagination to form a worthy celebration of Michael's life."
Janet and her brothers Randy and Jermaine have publicly slammed the the tribute concert, because it coincides with the current manslaughter trial of Michael's former physician Dr Murray.
