Jared Leto Explained The Story Behind That Fkn Hilarious Green Coat Meme
If you’ve been on the Internet in the last week, then you are bound to have seen the fkn hilarious Jared Leto green coat meme that has been making its way around online.
We’re talking about this glorious image of Jared looking absolutely taken aback by the beauty of this Gucci green coat on the runway, so much so that he decided to rock it for the Suicide Squad premiere in London the other day:
Fkn golden right?!
However, it seems that whilst we’ve been laughing at this meme for longer than we truly should have, Jared Leto has been pretty unimpressed by the whole thing.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Jared decided to debunk the myth behind the green coat, and tbqh we’re pretty shattered by it.
“The thing about the photo is—I’m going to be honest with you—I was actually making a face at someone across the runway. I have that feeling with most things [Gucci] makes because they make such beautiful things. But I was actually goofing off with a friend, and you can’t actually tell from the picture,” he said.
Say it ain’t so, Jared!
When Vanity Fair’s reporter told Jared that she would “just go on believing that it was a moment of joy,” the actor was quick to tell her that she should, “tell the real story. That would be interesting.” The actor also apologised for “ruining [the] meme,” and told the reporter that it was all about “perception versus reality.”
Sorry Jared, we’re just gonna try and forget everything that you just said, 'coz long live the Jared Leto green coat meme!
