Hillary Duff has Miley Cyrus Envy
According to PerezHilton.com, Hillary Duff is planning splitzville with her label!
Hollywood Records, also the home of Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers, have been pushing the Duffster to release a new record before the year is out, but Hillary aint having a bar of it.
Instead, she has released a second Greatest Hits compilation in September to quickly end her contract. WTF? We didn't know Hils had enough top ten hits for one 'Greatest Hits' album let alone two! The album will have two new songs called 'Reach Out' and 'Holiday', which Hils wrote herself.
So where does Miley come in? Well apparently Miss M's fame-whoring ways are not sitting well with once-pop princess Hillary, who is tired of Miley getting all the attention.
As quoted on PerezHilton.com, "Hilary didn't think the label has been giving her enough support and promotion as some of the other acts."
She should take it as a compliment. We guessing the wrong kind of attention these 'other acts' have received have forced the label to go into damage control overdrive.
Squeaky clean Hils on the other hand, has managed the transition from perky pop princess to mature movie star all without tarnishing her kid friendly Disney Veneer. She's one of the few stars parents don't mind kids idolising, knowing the chances of nudie rudie pics of the conservative star beamed on-line are slim to none.
Still, Hillary hasn't had a huge hit since her tween stardom days, so let's hope the hop skip and jump to another label will inspire her to release something new and fresh! Besides you don't wanna sing kiddie songs forever duffstar!
Hilary is talking to a variety of labels for a new deal. She expects to release a new studio album, under a new label next year.
