Jonas Brothers officially call it quits: “It’s over for now”
The trio revealed the news in an interview with People magazine yesterday, with Kevin explaining, “It’s over for now.”
Kev’s 21-year-old brother Nick added: “It’s really hard to say ‘forever.’ We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
The youngest JoBro also confessed he’d been having some doubts about the future of the band.
“I was feeling kind of trapped,” he revealed. “I needed to share my heart with my brothers.”
But at the end of the day, Joe explained that it was a “unanimous decision.”
The Jonas Brothers announced they were cancelling their American tour earlier this month, just days before they were scheduled to perform their first show in Pennsylvania.
At the time, a rep for the band told People that the 19-date-tour was being canned due to a “big disagreement over their music direction” and a “deep rift within the band.”
Just last week, both Joe and Nick took to Twitter telling fans to “bear with us” and to be patient while they got their “sh*t together,” which made it look as though a reconciliation was on the cards.
It was therefore unsurprising that upon hearing the news that the JoBro dream is officially over, fans flooded social media with sentiments of shock and heartbreak.
