Justin Bieber performs special concert for typhoon victims in the Philippines
Justin Bieber ended his ‘Believe World Tour’ in Manila yesterday and continued with his trend of special intimate concerts by then boarding a private jet to Tacloban City in Leyte province to perform for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
“About to go perform the last #believetour show. The real last one and the most important one of the tour. #GiveBackPhilippines,” the 19-year-old posted on Twitter.
The performance at a local school saw the Biebs sitting down to sing acoustic versions of ‘Mistletoe’ and ‘All That Matters.’
Following the concert the Canadian singer chatted with fans and played basketball, E! News also reported that he handed out books and toys to children.
Is that cute or what?
After the event Justin posted a series of photos and videos on his Instagram account starting with a photo of the singer with a little girl, captioned: “#pray4philippines most touching trip of my life.”
Last week the Biebs also took to social media to encourage his fans to donate to his ‘Give Back Philippines’ campaign.
On Facebook he said: “Im launching a very special campaign for the Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts.. help me give back to the Philippines and you’ll be entered for a chance to hang out with me in the studio,” and linking to the Prizeo website.
With only four more days until the campaign ends the ‘Boyfriend’ singer has raised $661,755 of his million dollar goal.
Yesterday Justin encouraged fans on Twitter to join the efforts, saying: “Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help. #GiveBackPhilippines here – prizeo.com/Justin.”
